Taipei 101 is a skyscraper located at Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The
building contains 101 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. Its design
reflects Chinese culture; both the building’s interior and exterior incorporate
the Chinese pagoda form and the shape of bamboo flowers. The lucky number eight
which means blooming or success is represented by the eight clearly at the
exterior of the building.

It has world's remarkable elevators sweeping visitors from the fifth floor to the 89th-floor observatory in only 37 seconds. Each elevator has an aerodynamic body with state-of-the art emergency braking systems.
It is completely equipped with fiber-optic and satellite internet connections providing transfer speed up to a GB per second.
It has a 660 metric tons (728 short tons) tuned mass damper stabilizing the tower against movements caused by high winds by 40%.
